BAAFCE participated in a training on "Raising awareness of the risks of terrorist financing for non-governmental organizations in Bulgaria"

We are proud to share that the Bulgarian Association of Anti-Financial Crime Experts (BAAFCE) was officially invited to participate in a high-level training organized by the Council of Europe and co-funded by the European Union, in cooperation with the Financial Intelligence Directorate (FID), State Agency for National Security (DANS).

The training, titled "Awareness-Raising on Terrorist Financing Risks for Non-Profit Organisations in Bulgaria", took place on 20 May 2025 in Sofia and brought together experts from national and international institutions.

The invitation reflects the growing recognition of BAAFCE as a reliable partner and center of expertise in the prevention of financial crime, money laundering, terrorist financing, and the implementation of targeted financial sanctions.

Our representatives took part in the sessions and contributed to the exchange of experience and discussion of best practices related to risk mitigation and AML/CFT frameworks for NPOs.

We remain committed to strengthening cooperation between the expert community and public authorities in the fight against financial crime.
